We visit schools, colleges and local community groups to educate young people on responsible pet ownership and the issues surrounding status dogs.
We will tailor the talk depending on the age group we are dealing with and will highlight any animal topics that have caused concern recently in that area for example intimidation with dogs and dog fighting.
BARK understands that education is the key to a large part of animal related issues. Getting involved with schools is a vital part of helping prevent animal welfare issues by teaching future generation the importance of good animal care.
Children are given short talks, broken up with interactive activities to help them learn about animal needs and how to care for animals.
Talks at Community meetings, Housing Association or other work places where issues with dogs frequently arise, can be tailored for.
If you are interested in having BARK partners along to your school or community meeting, please contact rebekah.fearon@brent.gov.uk - 0208 937 5252 for more information.
